Summer is nearly upon us. It’s a great time to be out and about so how about taking on the challenge of trying something new?

Nelson is blessed with an amazing amount of public space and great facilities for everyone to enjoy.

We have 165 public gardens, sports fields, parks and reserves, plus another 98 walkway reserves. This incorporates 11,290 hectares of recreational reserve and 64 playgrounds!

Have you seen them all? For the majority of us the answer is likely to be no. So why not get out and explore this summer?
If you need some inspiration, all the parks, playgrounds and walking and cycling tracks are shown on Top of the South Maps https://www.topofthesouthmaps.co.nz/app/, or here are some suggestions from the Parks and Reserves team.
