Nelson City Council Dog Park Survey

Do you have any thoughts about whether we should have a dog park? If so, we'd like to hear them.

Dogs bring joy and companionship to many in our community. Dogs need regular exercise on and off a lead to stay happy and healthy. Walking a dog brings health and social benefits to people too.

Nelson has a number of parks and areas where dogs can be exercised, but none that are fenced. The Council would like your feedback on whether or not it should develop a dedicated dog park (that may or may not include a dog agility area) where dog owners can let their dogs run free and socialise with other dogs, without having to worry about them running away.
