The annual Founders Book Fair has raised more than $140,000 in support of Founders Heritage Park.

The nine-day fair, held from 5-13 June, drew an estimated 11,000 people and raised $141,000, an amount only exceeded twice in the Fair’s 33-year history.

Founders Book Fair Coordinator Karen Clark said the wet weather during the fair meant it was the perfect time for people to visit the fair, browse, and stock up on items for the cold winter evenings.

“We’re very pleased with the result, especially considering it was just eight months ago we held the last one after it was delayed by COVID-19. Our volunteers did a brilliant job, as always, and it was great to see so many people come out to support the fair.”
