The deconstruction of the building at 23 Halifax Street is now complete.

Perhaps best known as the Mediterranean Food Warehouse, or Horatio’s nightclub a little further back in time, the building was dismantled in a sustainable way that ensured most of its structure and contents could be reused and avoid going to landfill. First, the corrugated iron roof was removed, followed by the steel trusses, and finally the concrete walls – none of these materials went to waste.

Deconstruction is also far less invasive, creating less dust and debris and is better for the environment.
