The Great Kererū Count is on again, from 21 – 30 September 2018.

This year we’ll be doing a native tree giveaway at the Saturday Market, on 15 September from 9am, to remind people how important kererū are to our native forests.

All the trees we are giving away are species that kererū love to feed on, so you’ll be helping feed the birds by planting one.

Come and find us at the Nelson Nature stand, at the Saturday Market in Montgomery Square from 9 – 10.30am (or until all the trees are gone!).

Pick up a native tree that will feed kererū and other native birds, and information on how you can take part in the Great Kererū Count 2018.
