Maitai Valley Road - slip repair work

Tomorrow (Thursday 8 December), work is starting to fix the slip above Maitai Valley Road between Botanical Hill just up from the Nile Street Intersection.

The work is being done in two stages and will involve traffic management in the first stage and a daytime road closure in the second stage.

8 – 9 December (Thursday – Friday)
 

• Abseil work will take place at the site, which will require a stop/go traffic management set-up. This may result in delays of up to 20 minutes.

 
Weekend
 

• No work is taking place on the weekend and one lane of the road will be open.

 
12-14 December (Monday – Wednesday)

• Maitai Valley Road will be closed between 7am – 7pm. The road will open on the hour, every hour, to let traffic through.

 
While the road is closed, contractors will remove slip material and trees (if required) behind barriers and remove the barriers if possible.

Botanical Hill car park will also be closed during this time period.
