Music Mix sessions

Nelson City Council in conjunction with Nelson Centre of Musical Arts and Multicultural Nelson Tasman present a series of fortnightly encounters with the world of music and musicians.

Music Mix is an opportunity for Nelsonians who enjoy music but have never had an opportunity to give it a go, to do just that.

Held at Victory Community Centre, these one-hour free encounters will give audiences a chance to listen, talk, learn, perhaps to try an instrument, and hopefully start a musical journey of their own. 

Presented in association with NCMA and Multicultural Nelson Tasman, Music Mix will run every fortnight through the summer (with a break over Christmas) and will feature a wide range of performers and instruments including the Nelson Youth Brass Band, NCMA Schola Musica with their 'Extreme Violins', the eastern flavoured music of “Klezoum" and many more.

Please come early, as seats will be limited due to COVID requirements.
