Nelson Youth Council Update : New picnic table at Sunday Hole

​The Nelson Youth Council installed an amazing, locally made picnic table recently, along the Maitai River at Sunday Hole.

Prior achievements of winning the 2017 Trustpower Community Awards – Nelson Award and a koha received from interacting with the community, helped make this possible. 

The project was completed with the assistance of Nelson City Council staff who helped turn this idea into reality. 

The Nelson Youth Council understands the importance of community spaces which positively coexist with the environment. 

Therefore, it is hoped that this space will be utilised by Nelson’s youth and the wider community now and especially during the summer period.
