Starting with this new financial year, rates instalment issuing dates are moving forward by one week to give ratepayers extra time and flexibility to pay.

Nelson City Council rates invoices will now be issued on the 25th day of the month before they are due. These changes took effect from 1 July.

Be on the lookout for the first instalment of this year, which were sent to ratepayers on Monday 26 July.

For the quickest and easiest way to pay your rates, consider signing up to receive Council invoices by email and paying by direct debit.
