Please keep your vegetation off the footpath

A reminder that it is the responsibility of residents to make sure vegetation from their property does not grow over the footpath or the road.

This is to ensure safe access on footpaths for pedestrians, pushchairs, wheelchairs and mobility scooters and to reduce visibility issues for drivers.

In cases where residents don’t keep their vegetation clear of the footpath or road, Nelmac is authorised to carry out the work and the householder may be invoiced for the cost of this work by Nelson City Council.

Your efforts to keep your frontage clear will help to make your neighbourhood safer for everyone.
