If you are interested in sustainable land management, save the evening of Thursday 29 November to hear inspiring landowners talk about their experiences in finding innovative solutions to managing rural land.

The event will include talks about farm forestry, native habitat restoration as well as practical information for rural landowners wanting to make their properties more resilient and sustainable.

This work is funded by a grant from the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) Hill Country Erosion Fund (HCEF).
The funding will be used to work with landowners on erodible land that is currently bare or in pasture, in all catchments across the Nelson region, to address a range of sustainable land management issues.  For example, planting trees on erodible land will improve retention of soils and help reduce sediment being washed into waterways.

The evening will be presented by Nelson City Council and New Zealand Landcare Trust.
