If you have a great idea for telling people about Nelson’s heritage, Nelson City Council would like to hear it.

Applications for heritage story panel ideas that highlight sites of significance throughout Nelson are open now.

Previous successful panels have included those on Betsy Eyre, Appo Hocton, and the history of the Italian migrants in The Wood.

All applications are assessed and those that present the best opportunity to share a heritage story with our community about a street or place will be selected.

The chosen panel(s) will be unveiled as part of next year’s Tuku 22 Whakatū Heritage Festival. Applications are open now and close 8 October.
