If you have been thinking about getting into golf, then the Waahi Taakaro Golf Course is open again after the COVID-19 shutdown, with Nelson City Council and the club offering the chance to win a free club membership if you play at the course in June.

Council owns and maintains the Waahi Taakaro Golf Course, and the club runs the golf shop and playing of the game while upholding social distancing club, contact tracing and good hygiene as part of Alert Level 2 restrictions.

For those wanting to join the Waahi Taakaro Golf Club, there are discounted memberships available, while there are reasonably priced rates to play casual rounds at just $18 for nine holes and $23 for 18.

You can make a booking by phone at 5487301 or email waahitaakaroproshop@golf.co.nz. For further information about the course, go to the Waahi Taakaro Golf Course website.
