Council will retain the timber jetty on Haulashore Island for its landscape values, but it remains closed to vessels and the public as it is not structurally sound.

The jetty has sustained significant damage over the past few years, and it was determined to not be safe for vessels or the public to use.

However, in light of feedback from the community, that although it can’t be used by the public, it was a much valued landscape feature.

The longer-term future of the Jetty will be considered in the 2021-31 Long Term Plan.
