Applications are open for the Tuia Rangatahi Mayoral Programme 2021

We are looking for rangatahi (youth) Māori aged 18-25 years old from the Nelson region who are actively contributing to the well-being of their community and have the potential to be a leader in their community.

The aim of the programme is to pair up with the local Mayor to provide mentoring and leadership skills to an aspiring rangatahi from the community.

The successful candidate will be mentored by Nelson’s Mayor Rachel Reese, involving both informal meetings and formal occasions that will assist the young person’s development as a local leader.

Applications close on Friday 12 February 2021.
