NBus keeps Nelson moving forward, and there are a couple of surprisingly awesome new features.
Free WIFI!
Yes, free wifi is going to be available on our usual NBus services. You just need to look for the Nelson City Free wifi network on your device and follow the steps to join. The usual T&Cs apply.
Now you can surf for free and enjoy the ride at the same time. Installation is happening on all the buses now and should be complete by the end of July.
Real-time bus information
Have I missed the bus? Should I run to catch it or can I take my time? These questions will now be answered for NBus passengers.
GPS has been installed on all NBus buses to give real-time information about the bus location and expected arrival time. The information is up on screens at the depot in Bridge Street and in Council’s Customer Service Centre. A screen will be up and running at the main stop in Queen Street soon too.
When you are out and about or waiting at any other stops, the information is on the Track-a-bus website, trackabus.co.nz/nelson, or you can download the Transit app, to have the info at your fingertips. Get it free today from your App store.
