The International Kai Festival is on Waitangi Day, 6 February, with residents and visitors invited to celebrate.

Hosted in Founders Heritage Park, the festival promises to be a wonderful celebration of our community culture, with international kai and craft stalls available.

It’s a perfect way to mix food, celebration and culture!

  • Waitangi Day - Monday 6 Feb, 10:30am-3:30pm
  • Entry through the Founders Heritage Park Windmill
  • Koha gold coin entry
  • Sample kai portions $5 or $10
  • Art and craft stalls
  • Cultural performances throughout the day.

The International Kai Festival, Monday 6 February 2023, is only hosted by Founders Heritage Park and entry will be through the Windmill. Whakatū Marae support the Kai Festival, but the grounds of the marae will be closed to the public. Thank you for your understanding.
