18/08/2022 9:30amSevere weather event August 2022
See is a list of wastewater pumping stations that have potentially overflowed during the current weather event.
**CHANGES NOTED IN BOLD ITALICS**
UPDATE 4:30 PM 18 August
- Maitai River continuing to rise
- Some wastewater pumping stations have struggled to cope with the very high volumes of stormwater infiltrating the wastewater network. Raw sewage may have spilled from these sites. Some overflows were minor, however, in the interests of public safety, we are urging people to treat all surface water as potentially contaminated. Visit our website for a list of wastewater pumping stations that have potentially overflowed.
