UPDATE 5:30 PM

The rain we are currently experiencing is expected to continue tonight and into tomorrow and we do not expect that Rocks Road will be able to reopenwhile heavy rain continues.

We are therefore asking for people to avoid adding congestion to the Rutherford Street diversion route by working from home if at all possible. We realise this may be disruptive, but please do consider if you can help us keep traffic on these neighbourhood streets to a minimum.

UPDATE 4:45 PM

- Elma Turner Pop-up and Stoke libraries are closed. A decision will be made tomorrow morning if they are going to reopen

- SH6 between Hira and Havelock is closed

- This afternoon's bus on the Brook Run had to stop due to surface water across the road. Rocks Road closure is affecting the Tāhunanui service. We are working with SBL on a plan for how we can service Tāhunanui and Annesbrook given the prolonged closure of Rocks Rd. We will provide an update when we have more information. Please check https://nelson.trackabus.co.nz/ for the latest on bus routes.
