Take the bus to the All Blacks game and get there early!
06/09/2018 1:46amNelson City Council will be running extra FREE buses between Richmond, Stoke and Nelson to get you to the All Blacks game and home again.
Leave the car at home, relax and enjoy the pre-match entertainment before the game! With over 20,000 people coming to the game you won't want to be stuck finding a car park.
All NBus services will be FREE from noon until midnight on game day, 8 September 2018.
Getting there:
From 2.30pm through to 5.45pm there will be extra services running every 15 minutes on NBus routes 1 and 2 from Richmond, Stoke and Nelson to the Wakatu Car Park behind the NBus depot on Bridge St.
From there it's a short walk to the market in Trafalgar St and to the game.
These free buses will stop at all the usual bus stops on Routes 1 and 2, so just walk to your local bus stop or park close to the bus route.
Getting home:
Free buses will be waiting in the Wakatu Car Park behind the NBus depot in Bridge St, running regularly from 10pm until 11.30pm to take you back home.
From midnight until 3.30am, the Late Late Bus will be running every 30 minutes on its usual route to Stoke and Richmond via Tahunanui. A $4 fare will apply to services after midnight.
The city and the roads will be busy on game day so we recommend you come into Nelson early and enjoy the activities.

Remember there is plenty to do throughout the afternoon in Nelson at the ‘EXPERIENCE RUGBY HISTORY’ All Blacks vs Argentina Game Day Fan Trail, so hit town early and make a day of it!
Look out for the Trafalgar Street market, live entertainment at the 1903 square, Family Zone and the rugby history display at the Nelson Provincial Museum.
